Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients in labor and delivery according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making in patient care planning and execution.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, respond to changes, and document care accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team; collaborate with physicians, midwives, and ancillary staff to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.
- Promote safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement in the obstetric care setting.

Requirements
- Active California RN license (or eligibility)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience in labor and delivery or obstetric nursing preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in an inpatient obstetric care environment
- Strong communication, teamwork, and supervisory skills
