Our mission-driven team is committed to providing compassionate, resident-centered care while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. This role is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders while supporting overall quality of life and independence. The Speech Language Pathologist will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality, person-centered care across our senior living communities.Shift: Full-Time DaysSchedule: Day ShiftWage: $37.00-$40.00/hr.What You’ll DoConduct comprehensive evaluations for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disordersDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and goalsProvide direct speech-language therapy services in both individual and group settingsUtilize evidence-based interventions to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing safetyMonitor resident progress and modify treatment plans as neededRecommend dietary modifications and swallowing strategies when appropriateTrain residents on alternative communication methods and assistive devicesEducate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and exercisesCollaborate with nursing, dietary, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and interdisciplinary teamsParticipate in care conferences and communicate therapy recommendations effectivelyMaintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summariesEnsure compliance with state and federal regulations, infection control standards, and professional ethicsQualificationsMaster’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited programCurrent Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of MinnesotaStrong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary teamProficiency in spoken and written English required to ensure safe patient care, accurate medical documentation, and effective communication with residents, families, and staffPreferredCertificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHAPrevious experience in rehabilitation, senior living, skilled nursing, or healthcare settingsExperience working with residents experiencing cognitive decline, dysphagia, or neurological conditionsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and assist residents during therapy sessionsOccasional lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 25 poundsFrequent use of hands for documentation and therapy toolsAbility to safely assist residents during therapy interventions and mobility activitiesWork EnvironmentSenior living, rehabilitation, and healthcare facility settingsExposure to residents with varying speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing impairmentsRequires compliance with infection control and safety proceduresAt Episcopal Homes of Minnesota, we value a diverse, inclusive workforce and we provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees.
