Revenue Cycle Coverage and Claims Associate II

Abbott seeks a Revenue Cycle Coverage and Claims Associate II to manage insurance eligibility verification, claim submission, and denial resolution for its Cancer Diagnostics business. The role involves independent problem-solving of complex reimbursement issues using Epic and payer systems, with a focus on timely claim resolution and accurate documentation.
Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage; research discrepancies and update account information
- Review, edit, and submit claims and appeals; correct rejected claims and provide supporting documentation
- Analyze denials, underpayments, and aging claims to determine appropriate resolution steps
- Manage complex escalations, bulk projects, and follow-up work queues while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality
- Partner with internal teams and payers to drive timely claim resolution and process improvements
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years revenue cycle experience and 3+ years medical billing or claims processing
- Current knowledge of government, managed care, and commercial insurance claim requirements and denial codes
- Medical terminology, health insurance terminology, and EHR system knowledge
- Strong computer proficiency, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate professionally with payers and internal teams
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Compensation: $17.00–$34.00/hour
