Position: Middle and High School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher
Organization: Islamic Tawheed Center of Detroit
Location: Detroit, Michigan
Start Date: August 2026
Academic Year: 2026–2027

The Islamic Tawheed Center of Detroit invites applications for a passionate High School English Language Arts Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Responsibilities

Teach high school ELA courses including literature, writing, and language skills
Promote analytical reading, writing proficiency, and communication skills
Design engaging instruction aligned with academic standards
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
Participate in school community and professional collaboration

Qualifications

Required: Teaching experience at the high school level in English/ELA
Preferred: Teaching certification or certification candidacy
Strong instructional and communication skills
Ability to inspire student engagement in literacy and critical thinking
