Administrative Support Staff Position

This support staff position will provide administrative support to the Housing Operations and Res Life team.

Responsibilities include:

• Answering a wide variety of questions related to the department's procedures and other general questions (training will be provided)
• Conducting walkthrough inspections of vacant student rooms and shared public spaces in the residence halls
• Coordinating departmental deliveries, including meeting vendors to receive items, working with Facilities to have items moved, and physically moving items to or from the residence halls
• Managing distribution and collection of departmental moving bins
• Escorting Facilities or outside vendors into student rooms on a limited as-needed basis
• Assembling and distributing furnishings, such as floor lamps
• Posting signs in the residence halls
• Other ad hoc projects as assigned

Requirements include:

• Proficient in THD, Guardian and Splan
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable and patient with visitors
• Office experience a plus
• Ability to work independently
• Strong customer service and organizational skills

Exact schedule to be determined with supervisor; no more than 20 hours per week when school is in session and no more than 35 hours per week during breaks.
