Registered Nurse - Psychiatric

Psychiatric Registered Nurse

Seeking a Psychiatric Registered Nurse to provide specialized behavioral health care in an acute care setting. The nurse will deliver assessments, medication management, and milieu interventions to support patient recovery and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses according to care plans.
• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and document findings accurately.
• Manage patient milieu to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment options and coping strategies.
• Maintain compliance with all certification, licensing, and facility requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio or Compact Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission.
• Minimum of 18 months recent behavioral health experience in acute care (non-psychiatric) settings.
• Active BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross required.
• Demonstrate proficiency in milieu management, assessments, and medication administration.
• Provide a recent reference from a supervisor, manager, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months.
• Successfully pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores.
