Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong KYC (Know Your Customer) experience in banking or financial services. The candidate will work with business stakeholders, compliance teams, and technology teams to gather requirements, analyze KYC processes, and support regulatory compliance and customer due diligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to KYC, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to understand existing KYC processes and identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Support customer onboarding, identity verification, document validation, customer risk assessment, and periodic KYC reviews.
- Collaborate with Compliance, AML, Risk, Operations, and IT teams to ensure alignment with regulatory and internal policy requirements.
- Analyze and document workflows for customer screening, sanctions screening, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), and adverse media checks.
- Perform gap analysis, impact assessments, UAT planning, test-case preparation, and defect tracking.
- Support KYC system enhancements, workflow automation, data migration, and integration with internal and third-party systems.
- Maintain requirements traceability and ensure business rules and acceptance criteria are clearly documented.
- Assist with audit requests, compliance reporting, issue resolution, and process documentation.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in banking, financial services, or fintech.
- Strong knowledge of KYC, AML, CDD, EDD, customer onboarding, and customer risk assessment.
- Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and functional documentation.
- Familiarity with sanctions screening, PEP screening, adverse media, and periodic KYC refresh processes.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, analytical, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with UAT, test scenarios, defect management, and business process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with KYC platforms such as Fenergo, Actimize, or other client onboarding and compliance systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as BSA, FinCEN, FATF, and applicable AML/KYC regulations.
- Familiarity with SQL, data analysis, API integrations, and financial-services data flows.
