Summary: The Customer Success Architect is a subject matter expert in our Customer Success organization, serving as a trusted technical and strategic advisor to BillingPlatform’s customers. This role partners closely with Customer Success Managers to help customers maximize the value of the BillingPlatform platform, optimize platform utilization, overcome technical challenges and achieve measurable business outcomes. The Customer Success Architect combines strong technical expertise with a consultative approach, building relationships across customer organizations from end users to C-suite executives. The role serves as a bridge between customer business objectives, technical requirements and BillingPlatform’s product capabilities. Responsibilities: Build strong relationships with customers and serve as a trusted technical advisor across all levels of the organization. Evaluate customer requirements and technical challenges to recommend solutions based on risks, benefits, platform capabilities and business best practices. Help customers optimize their use of BillingPlatform through proactive performance monitoring, strategic discussions and platform best practices. Provide customer health checks and assessments to identify business process improvements, technical enhancements and enablement opportunities based on customer needs. Partner with Customer Success Managers to develop and execute comprehensive customer success plans with clear business objectives, technical requirements and action plans. Translate complex technical concepts and platform capabilities into clear business value for customer stakeholders. Partner with customer leadership to develop transformation roadmaps and strategic plans. Proactively identify opportunities for customers to expand platform adoption and realize incremental business value. Coordinate with Support, Product, Engineering, and Professional Services to drive resolution of complex technical issues. Drive adoption through product demonstrations, technical guidance, innovation, and strategic customer alignment. Communicate relevant application, infrastructure, and product changes to customers. Serve as the primary technical contact during customer calls, governance meetings and strategic discussions. Surface structured, actionable customer feedback to Product and Engineering teams Skills/Abilities: Experience in client-facing implementation or technology consulting roles, preferably focused on recurring and usage billing, quote to cash, revenue management or revenue recognition systems. Advanced knowledge of subscription billing models and revenue recognition principles, including ASC 606 / IFRS 15. Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Oracle or similar enterprise platforms. Experience in financial services, technology, telecommunications, SaaS or other complex enterprise environments. Familiarity with usage-based billing and mediation concepts. Understanding of CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) processes and systems. Relevant enterprise software certifications or training. Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in a Customer Success Architect, Technical Account Manager, Solution Architect or similar customer-facing technical role within enterprise billing or revenue software or SaaS. Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strategic customer relationships with a strong technical focus. Strong accounting or finance background, with a solid understanding of financial processes, data, and reporting. Demonstrated experience with billing system design, configuration and integration, including workflows, APIs and productized system connectors. Working knowledge of SQL and basic coding concepts, with the ability to build formulas, create reports, leverage AI tools, and evaluate the accuracy and quality of AI-generated outputs. Proven ability to communicate complex technical and financial concepts effectively with senior finance executives, including CFOs, VPs of Finance, and other business leaders. Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate effectively across Customer Success, Support, Product, Engineering, and Professional Services teams. Willingness to travel up to 40%. The base salary range for this position is $100,000–$170,000 per year, plus bonus , depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
