Registered Nurse (RN) - CVOR

Job Responsibilities

Coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care in a compassionate manner by utilizing the nursing process and established standards of practice.
Develop, implement, and continuously reassess individualized patient care plans.
Provide nursing care, including administering medications and performing nursing procedures and treatments.
Evaluate discharge plans for relevance, educational needs, and necessary adjustments.
Document care provided, assessments, plans of care, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
Collect patient information essential for delivering safe, high-quality care.
Conduct holistic ongoing assessments of patient status and respond appropriately.
Determine and carry out appropriate nursing actions to meet care goals, addressing physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs.
Educate patients, families, and significant others with timely health information and provide written materials as necessary.
Maintain current knowledge of workflows, processes, and evidence-based practices.
Delegate appropriately and supervise care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel.
Participate in performance evaluation and improvement processes with departmental leadership.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the healthcare team.
Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to hospital policies and standards.

Qualifications

Active registered nurse licensure in the state of Washington or a compact state.
Experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing required.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications must be maintained.
Ability to float as a sitter and participate in a call rotation.
Commitment to following the Washington Nurse Practice Act and current nursing legal standards.
