Overnight ER/ICU Veterinary Technician The Overnight ER/ICU Veterinary Technician will work at the New England Veterinary Center & Cancer Center in Windsor, Connecticut, providing dedicated quality veterinary care in an emergency and critical care setting. Responsibilities Provide patient care by determining animal requirements, conducting examinations and diagnostic procedures, and assisting during surgery and operations. Offer nursing care, including feeding, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining patient medical records. Assist with triage and discharge of patients, and maintain medical supplies and equipment. Place IV catheters, draw blood, run in-house diagnostics, and administer medications, CRIs, and blood products. Monitor critical patients and provide clear, compassionate updates to clients. Qualifications 1+ year of veterinary technician experience (ER preferred but not required). Strong phlebotomy, catheter placement, and nursing skills. Comfort with fast-paced, emotionally charged situations. Kindness, teamwork, and a steady, supportive presence. Experienced and/or credentialed technicians highly encouraged to apply.
