Construction Manager - Irving, TX, Carrollton, TX, and Fort Worth, TXJob#: 3046733Job Description:Construction Manager Location: Travel to construction sites located in Irving, TX, Carrollton, TX, and Fort Worth, TX, with additional locations potentially added as needed. Site visits are expected approximately once per week. Working from home when not on site.Role OverviewAn experienced Construction Manager is being sought to oversee all phases of the construction lifecycle. This includes project initiation, preconstruction planning, commissioning, turnover, and project closeout. This role will contribute to the retrofit and expansion of delivery station facilities. The position will serve as a liaison between owners, architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and operational stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to established quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesManage construction projects from planning and design through execution, commissioning, and closeout.Lead project startup activities, stakeholder alignment, contractor onboarding, permitting, and construction readiness planning.Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project delivery.Oversee RFIs, submittals, design changes, construction documentation, and drawing control.Monitor project performance related to schedule, budget, quality, safety, and scope.Lead project meetings, provide status reporting, and communicate risks, issues, and milestones to stakeholders and leadership.Coordinate procurement, long-lead equipment, material deliveries, and site logistics to support project schedules.Identify and mitigate project risks, manage change orders, and support quality assurance and compliance requirements.Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.Coordinate commissioning, turnover, punch-list completion, closeout documentation, and transition to operations.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.5+ years of experience in construction management, project management, or as an owner's representative.Experience managing commercial, industrial, retail, distribution, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.A strong understanding of construction processes, document control, scheduling, and project execution.Experience managing contractors, consultants, and cross-functional stakeholders.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, BIM360/ACC, or similar construction management platforms.Ability to travel up to 50%.Preferred QualificationsExperience managing ground-up construction and facility expansion projects.Experience supporting grocery, cold storage, refrigeration, food service, or distribution facility construction projects.Experience coordinating directly with architects and engineering firms throughout design and construction.Familiarity with permitting, commissioning, and turnover processes.Experience with procurement planning, long-lead equipment management, and supply chain coordination.PMP, CCM, CMIT, or similar project management certification.Grocery refrigeration construction build-out experience.Experience with mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and building systems installations.Experience supporting multi-site construction programs.Familiarity with commissioning and operational startup activities.Work EnvironmentThis is a remote position with required travel to project sites.
