The Radiology Department at Missouri Baptist Medical Center is a full‑service, diagnostic center dedicated to delivering the highest quality imaging services to our patients and their physicians. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose: Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (MRI, CT, IVR, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control. Assists staff technologist in prioritizing and problem‑solving patient care or imaging issues, and serves as a resource person. Delegates tasks to ensure proper daily operations. Assumes responsibilities of supervisor in their absence. Assists in the development and training of students and/or new employees. Provides continuing mentorship to advanced modality technologist, advanced modality senior technologist, and advanced modality CI. Responsibilities Prepares patient and equipment for procedures. Performs studies independently, in on‑call situations, portable exams, and other sites as required by work area. Oversees shift operations to include daily workflow, assignments, lunch schedules, and adjusts priorities and assignments to best meet department needs. Enters/escalates IT and equipment tickets. Serves as the clinical resource and expert for the technologists. Responsibilities include problem‑solving, assisting with difficult exams, and mentoring. Serves as the clinical liaison between the team and supervisor. Ensures that proper information is communicated from the team and escalated to the supervisor appropriately. Maintains/order necessary supplies for department needs.
