Your daily endeavors will range from pre-operative patient education to providing confident assistance during procedures, making significant contributions where your skills and dedication are celebrated. Job Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient evaluations, including physical examinations and comprehensive medical histories
- Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions via interpretation of imaging studies and laboratory results
- Engage closely with surgeons to formulate and implement tailored surgical treatment strategies
- Provide intraoperative assistance by preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and managing surgical instruments during procedures
- Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative care involving medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and comprehensive patient education
- Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program
- Completion of clinical rotations with significant surgical training is strongly preferred
- Valid and unrestricted PA-C certification
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
- State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
- Comprehensive understanding of surgical principles and strict sterile techniques
- Demonstrated capability to interpret diagnostic results and aid in complex clinical decisions
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Competence in managing high-pressure situations, especially during surgical cases
