Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: - Minimum 1 year of charge experience. - Oncology and PCU experience required.

Required Credentials: - Must pass a pass/fail open-book exam on Friday during orientation with a minimum score of 90%. - Required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. - Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity. - Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. - RTO needed upfront: 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract. Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submission.

Unit Details: - Mixed PCU/Med-Surg/Oncology unit caring for adult oncology and trauma patients. - RN ratio: 1:4 for PCU and 1:5 for Med/Surg on days; 1:5-6 on nights. - Common drips/medications include chemotherapy, heparin, cardizem, and protonix. - Insulin and cardizem drips are titrated occasionally. - Ventilator, CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000, and ICP monitoring may be used; real-time training is available. - Uses Alaris IV pumps and lift equipment.

Shift & Scheduling: - Night shift is 7p-7a. - Every other weekend. - Self-scheduling.

Floating Requirements: - Float to Med/Surg and PCU units at the same level of care.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• ONS (Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider) or the alternative certification OCN (Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation)
