Open Arms Outreach, Inc. is seeking a compassionate, licensed Occupational Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary pediatric therapy team. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorders, fine motor delays, physical disabilities, trauma-related challenges, and other developmental conditions. This position works collaboratively with families, educators, physicians, therapists, and case managers to develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence, confidence, and success across home, school, and community environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations using standardized and clinical assessment tools.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals based on each child's unique needs.
• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to improve:
• • Fine motor development
  • Visual motor integration
  • Sensory processing and sensory regulation
  • Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
  • Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs)
  • Handwriting and school readiness skills
  • Executive functioning and self-regulation
  • Self-care and independent living skills
• Assess children's functional performance within home, school, and community settings.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications when appropriate.
• Educate parents, caregivers, teachers, and family members on treatment strategies and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with Speech Therapists, Physical Therapists, counselors, educators, physicians, and other professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with Medicaid, insurance, state, and organizational requirements.
• Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, staff development, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of Open Arms Outreach.

Qualifications

Required

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Arkansas Occupational Therapy License or eligibility for licensure.
• NBCOT Certification.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to successfully pass criminal background and child maltreatment registry checks.

Preferred

• Pediatric occupational therapy experience.
• Experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, developmental delays, or sensory processing disorders.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles.
• Experience documenting for Medicaid and commercial insurance reimbursement.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist pediatric clients as needed.
• Ability to kneel, bend, sit on the floor, and actively engage in therapeutic play and movement-based activities.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the workday.
• Ability to use hands and fingers for therapeutic activities and documentation.
