ACIBuilds.comSummary/Objective:The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day activities of crews on assigned electrical projects. Provides guidance and direction to crews in meeting the budgets and schedule dates on each project. Ensures job quality and customer satisfaction is maintained in every stage of the project. Interacts with clients, customers and vendors to build lasting relationships. Cultivates a positive environment to maintain a sufficient and qualified work force.Essential Functions:Plans and supervises field crew and / or subcontractor and craft activities - includes determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities equipment, temporary power, mechanical and plumbing sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours workedCoordinates assigned work with work of different crafts, company departments, or other contractorsServes as a liaison with engineering, estimating, project team, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and scheduleMaintains relationships with other departments (i.e., Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, Engineering) to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and project scheduleAssists in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.)Monitors craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implementedStrong equipment setting capabilitiesPerforms other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibility: YesRequired:7+ years' experience as a General Foreman with 4 years of completed electrical apprenticeship program.Demonstrated planning and scheduling experiencePrevious knowledge of man hour reports, job cost reports, workface planning and estimatingAdvanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and ability to control and supervise large groupsDemonstrated knowledge of, reading & interpreting and working to:Design drawings (isometric and orthographic), design guides, specificationsSupport Drawings and specificationsContract documents and site coordination of subcontractorExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus demonstrated ability to work across varied disciplinesAbility to read and comprehend complex instructionsAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organizationAbility to plan, look ahead, and set goals for your entire jobOSHA 30 certificationCPR certificationMust be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skillsMust adhere to all company policy and proceduresThe work environment and physical demands required would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, and may include, but are not limited to the following:Work Environment:May work in varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampnessMay work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levelsMay require travel (typically not overnight)May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dustMay be required to work in confined spaces or from high heightsPhysical Demands:This role routinely uses construction equipment such as heavy machinery, hand and power toolsWhile performing duties of the job the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.Frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and armsMust be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focusTravel:May require travel (typically not overnight)Preferred:10 +years' experience in a heavy electrical commercial construction environmentPrior military experienceVisit us at for more information!
