Controller

We are seeking a Controller to lead all accounting and financial operations for a global manufacturing organization based in the Northwest suburbs. This is a high‑impact role responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and actionable financial insights that support both operational performance and strategic decision‑making. The Controller will serve as a key business partner to plant and operations leadership, playing a critical role in driving profitability, cost efficiency, and overall financial discipline across the site. What You’ll Do Lead all accounting operations, including month‑end and year‑end close Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) Own budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Lead inventory and margin analysis Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain a strong internal control environment Partner closely with operations, supply chain, and leadership to improve efficiency and reduce costs Support tax, audit, and compliance requirements Oversee cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure tracking Drive ERP optimization, reporting improvements, and process automation Lead and develop accounting team members What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred) 7+ years of progressive accounting experience Prior Controller, Assistant Controller or Manager experience strongly preferred Strong manufacturing/distribution accounting background Solid general accounting and financial reporting expertise Strong leadership and business partnering skills What’s Offered Performance‑based bonus Full benefits package (health, dental, vision) 401(k) with company match Opportunity to join a stable global manufacturer investing in growth and operational excellence #J-18808-Ljbffr
