Acute Travel Paramedic

We are seeking a dedicated Acute Travel Paramedic to provide high-quality patient care and emergency medical services. In this position, you will actively attend to patients as the EMT will be responsible for driving the ambulance. This role is suited for individuals with a strong commitment to patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide prehospital care to patients in emergency situations.
• Work collaboratively with EMTs and other medical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Assist in emergency department duties as needed.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and privacy.

Qualifications

• Must possess an Iowa or National Paramedic Certification.
• Current certifications in ACLS, PALS, and BLS required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
• Experience in prehospital settings is preferred.
• Must have a mandatory reporter certification for child and adult abuse.
• Must clear a comprehensive background check, including criminal and child abuse screenings.
• Willingness to complete a 10-panel drug screening, including opiates.
• Proof of immunization titers for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB within the last 12 months.

Additional Information

• Shifts will primarily be night shifts.
• Must be available to start on a Monday or Tuesday.
• Team-oriented individual with a patient-focused approach is essential.
• Uniforms will be provided, and acceptable dress code includes black or blue pants and black shoes or boots.
