Description Position: BigFoot Java Asst. Barista Manager Job Summary BigFoot Java Asst. Barista Managers main responsibility is as a Barista and secondary duties include performing routine location and machine maintenance. Asst. Manager Duties/Responsibilities Perform all duties and responsibilities of a Barista Perform all daily, weekly and monthly equipment maintenance duties Help ensure BFJ successfully increases sales and hits sales targets and labor targets Provide leadership for the baristas through being the example and providing training as needed Follow set building, health, and BFJ culture standards; remain compliant in all areas Create a platform for involving and inspiring all employees to succeed in everything they do Ensure that your BFJ has the right people doing the right things in the right way to deliver a legendary experience for every customer Help oversee and be responsible for all the employees at your BFJ: training, coaching, etc. Ensure your BFJ is prepared to serve customers each day and that it meets all quality standards Present oneself in a professional manner, be in proper dress attire and wear the approved uniform Maintain good business practices as outlined by management Lead, inspire, and develop each member of the crew to achieve our mission Provide staff training and continuous training of employees on drinks preparation and proper use of coffee equipment Maintain and clean, well‑stocked and orderly work environment Communicate with your District Manager and/or Operations Manager and assist in identifying and remedying problems deserving attention and store maintenance issues Attend all mandatory meetings Know your resources and adhere to all company policies and procedures as laid out in the Employee Handbook Enforce food safety regulations Ensure a safe, secure, and legal work environment Enforce local, state, and federal labor and employment laws Help manage scheduling, shifts, time‑off, and coverage (Managers and Asst. Managers must be available to cover any shift per business needs or if staff cannot cover) Communicate job and performance expectations Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards and quick service expectations Escalate customer complaints to the District Manager to resolve quality and customer service complaints if you are not able to resolve the complaint Available for on‑call issues outside of normal scheduled shift hours Work a rotating schedule to see all employees for training and to improve customer experience Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Certified Food Protection Manager Certification (to be scheduled and received once hired) 5 years customer service experience required 2 years of Barista experience required Experience in JIT inventory management Ability to lead a team Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays, and a rotating schedule to ensure all employees are properly trained and providing a legendary experience to each customer Training and willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation Exceptional listening and communication skills Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence Willingness to work as part of a high‑energy, efficient team in a fast‑paced environment Ability to read and speak English proficiently Strong ability to multi‑task Strong basic mathematical skills Ability to problem solve quickly Ability to follow directions Physical Requirements Ability to stand for 8 hours or more per shift Repetitive motions Ability to bend, stoop or kneel as needed Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time Use of hand dexterity for writing, grabbing, pulling, twisting, shaking Cleaning and restocking work areas, emptying trash, and sanitizing equipment and utensils Exposure to semi‑loud noises due to proximity to operating roads, and drive‑through lanes at stores along with equipment sounds Job and Benefit Information 90‑day probationary period 90‑day probationary review to go over your performance Two‑week training period at multiple locations Full‑time position requiring 35 hours or more per week Hourly wage range of $18.15‑$20.00 (Eligibility for tips while being an active Barista only) PTO accrued at .025 per hour (averages about 40 hrs. per year) 401(k) Eligibility after 120 days (if offered at that location) Medical Eligibility after 90 days (Employer 60/Employee 40 if offered at that location) Free Coffee Beverages while on shift Location: West Valley BigFoot Java #J-18808-Ljbffr bigfoot java
