Local "Class A" Yard Spotter/Jockey Wanted

American Spotting Company is seeking a night shift yard spotter to join our team! Your schedule would consist of a 42-hour workweek (3 12-hour shifts and a 6-hour shift). The position will start at $21.00 per hour with eligibility for raise based on safety, reliability, and performance following successful completion of 90-day probation. Responsibilities:

• Safely move trailers to and from the warehouse dock to yard locations in a timely manner
• Professionally interface with the customer, local management team, and on-site vendors in a professional manner
• Maintain a Safety-First attitude

To Successfully Secure This Opportunity, Candidate Must:

• Maintain a valid Class A CDL license
• Be at least 23 years of age
• Have prior experience as a yard spotter, exhibiting the following:
  • Good safety record
  • Good physical condition; must be able to get in and out of trucks several times per day
  • Good backing skills
  • Ability to operate in extreme heat and cold, depending on elements
  • Be reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
  • Have a great attitude and strong work ethic
• Have 2 years recent, verifiable tractor/trailer driving experience or related
• Not have any DUI/DWI, careless/reckless driving citations, or revoked/suspended license in the past 5 years
• Not have more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years
• Exhibit an on-site driving skills assessment test (current 3-Year MVR required to be supplied at interview)
• Pass a complete DOT physical, a pre-employment drug screen, and criminal background check
