IT Coordinator

Buford, GA

ATL Search Group is partnering with a global automotive manufacturing organization in Buford, Georgia, to identify an experienced IT Coordinator to support and manage local IT operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys solving technical challenges, supporting end users, managing infrastructure, and serving as the local liaison between plant operations and global IT teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting manufacturing environments, strong troubleshooting skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining secure and reliable IT systems.

What You'll Do

End User & Technical Support

• Provide day-to-day technical support for hardware, software, network, and end-user issues.
• Serve as a key member of the IT Service Desk and Onsite Support team.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues while minimizing downtime.
• Support desktop, laptop, printer, mobile device, and peripheral technologies.

IT Infrastructure & Systems Management

• Ensure the reliable operation of local IT systems and infrastructure in accordance with corporate standards.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Assist with system upgrades, deployments, and technology rollouts.
• Monitor and maintain IT hardware and software assets.

Information Security & Compliance

• Support implementation and enforcement of corporate cybersecurity and information security standards.
• Work closely with the IT Security team to ensure compliance with company policies and best practices.
• Help identify and mitigate potential security risks.

Project Coordination

• Plan and execute local IT projects aligned with global technology initiatives.
• Coordinate with corporate IT teams on infrastructure improvements and technology implementations.
• Assist with IT budgeting, cost control, and technology planning for the facility.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent technical training and experience.
• 3+ years of IT support, systems administration, or IT coordination experience.
• Experience supporting users in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking technologies.
• Experience working with help desk ticketing systems and IT support processes.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure, end-user computing, and information security practices.
• Familiarity with ITIL methodologies and best practices.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive manufacturing experience.
• Experience supporting multi-site or global organizations.
• Project management experience and exposure to structured project methodologies.
• Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and network fundamentals.
