Senior GEOINT Database Engineer (TS/SCI)

Overview At the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA), geospatial intelligence supports how Marines understand the world around them, from terrain and infrastructure to patterns that help inform operational planning. The ability to quickly access reliable geospatial data is critical to that mission. This is a chance to bring deep GIS engineering experience to a mission where work directly supports the people who depend on accurate geospatial intelligence. Join us as a GIS Geodatabase Engineer to support MCIA’s Geospatial Support Services (GSS). GSS serves as a centralized capability for discovering, accessing, and sharing geospatial intelligence products across multiple Department of Defense and Intelligence Community networks. Responsibilities Ensure the database infrastructure remains reliable, secure, and capable of evolving as operational requirements grow. Improve geodatabase performance, enhance data ingest and export workflows, strengthen backup, restore, and recovery capabilities, and support the integration and management of geospatial data across multiple schemas, including USMC Ground Warfighter, Topographic Data Store (TDS), and NSG‑compliant geodata schemas. Implement security hardening measures, identify and resolve vulnerabilities, and provide advanced troubleshooting support when complex issues arise. Requirements Current active Top Secret / SCI clearance Bachelor’s Degree + 12 years of relevant experience Extensive GIS and ESRI Enterprise Geodatabase experience to manage performance, data integrity, and system reliability across classified networks Required Certifications DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) qualification or equivalent (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, GIAC) Relevant degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, etc. Validated experience documented through on‑the‑job assessment Training from approved government or military courses (e.g., Cyber 101 Foundational Course) Database Administrator (DBA) certification ESRI Enterprise Geodatabase certification Contact If you’re ready to be part of the team that ensures geospatial data reaches those who need it most, send your resume directly to Lanchi Lai (View email address on click.appcast.io).
