Seven Healthcare are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technician to join a travel assignment in the operating room. The position requires special expertise in neurosurgery and cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) experience. This role involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to support surgical teams.

Key Responsibilities of the Certified Surgical Technician - OR

• Assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients, maintaining aseptic techniques, and ensuring patient comfort.
• Transport patients to and from the Operating Room and position them as per the surgical requirements.
• Prepare the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to the type of surgery.
• Establish and maintain the sterile field and assist the surgical team by passing instruments and sutures.
• Use physician preference cards to prepare and set up the OR, ensuring accuracy and currency.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise in the use and care of surgical supplies and equipment.
• Familiar with policies regarding decontamination and sterilization of instruments.

Requirements of the Certified Surgical Technician - OR

• Completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program is required.
• BLS certification required (AHA only).
• Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN License is required.
• Minimum 2 years of neurosurgery experience required.
• CVOR experience is essential.
