Step into an engaging school-based setting for the 2026-2027 academic year, serving students as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant in the beautiful community near Eagle River. This full-time, onsite contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by providing direct speech and language services within local elementary school sites.
Working from August 14, 2026, through May 27, 2027, you'll enjoy a consistent weekday schedule (8.5-hour shifts, including a half-hour unpaid lunch), supporting an average caseload of 47 students across two schools. Your expertise will play a key role in student growth while building positive relationships with school staff and families.
What's needed to succeed:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology certification and licensure in Alaska
- SLP-CCC or eligible to obtain (for SLP roles)
- School-based experience is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Passion for working with elementary-aged students
- Commitment to an onsite, in-person model (no virtual options)
- Conduct thorough speech-language evaluations
- Develop and implement individual intervention plans
- Provide direct therapy services to students
- Monitor and document student progress
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and student support initiatives
