MEP Superintendent

Port Washington, Wisconsin, United States Leads, directs, and coordinates the work of subcontractors and/or trade labor. The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality of work performed, and adherence to the project budget. The Superintendent has supervisory responsibility for Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, Interns, and trade labor within their area of responsibility. Reports to: Project Superintendent, Project Manager, or Project Executive Oversee and make decisions related to the performance of work, including scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and staffing levels. Coordinate work among assigned trades to promote efficient project operations. Resolve field issues such as procedures, precedence, design clarifications, labor and equipment scheduling, and other related matters. Manage the overall site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with company standards, safety codes, and regulations. Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and/or Interns, including providing input on or completing performance appraisals. Create schedules and determine sequencing of work. Develop and implement recovery strategies to maintain project timelines. Communicate with owners, architects, and engineers regarding field issues, and investigate and resolve them. Manage the billing process related to Work In Place (WIP), including overseeing the monthly estimate of work completed, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with approved contract documents. Qualifications Bachelors degree plus a minimum of four years of related experience and/or training. Strong knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling, cost control procedures, contracts, subcontract documents, drawings, and specifications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) applications. Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules. Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Physical Demands Ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, ladders, and access work areas under construction. Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to use hands to handle tools, sit, talk, hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Work is regularly performed on construction sites with exposure to moving mechanical parts, heights, fumes, airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and potential electrical hazards.
