Software Integration Engineer

Job Description

Integrate, validate, and support release readiness for IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) software across embedded systems, connectivity, multimedia, and customer-facing applications.

Partner with engineering teams to test and troubleshoot new features.

Build and maintain test benches, diagnostics tools, logging systems, and validation environments.

Perform root-cause analysis across software, hardware, ECUs, vehicle networks, and power states.

Support bench bring-up, software flashing, and end-to-end feature validation.

Skills and Requirements

Experience creating test plans, smoke tests, and regression testing strategies.

Strong white-box testing experience, including APIs, middleware, control logic, and state machines.

Background validating complex hardware/software products (automotive, consumer electronics, mobile, robotics, etc.).

Ability to triage issues and write detailed, actionable bug reports.

Hands-on hardware/software integration and test bench experience.

Linux proficiency (CLI, logs, networking, scripting, debugging).

Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.

Must be onsite in Palo Alto, CA. Experience with real-time embedded systems, vehicle networks, and automotive software.

IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) validation experience.

Python scripting and test automation experience.

Familiarity with vehicle diagnostics, CAN/LIN, and logging tools.

Experience supporting software releases in a fast-paced development environment.
