THE OPPORTUNITY. Brockville is inviting dedicated Psychiatrists to join our Department of Psychiatry. Practicing within the state-of-the-art Donald B. Green Tower, you will support a comprehensive mental health program that includes a 22-bed Inpatient Unit, a 24/7 Crisis Team, and specialized community programs like ACT and CDSU. Whether you are an experienced consultant or a new graduate, you will find a supportive, multi-disciplinary environment that prioritizes patient-centred care and clinical excellence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES. Lead stabilization and treatment for adults (16+) with acute mental illness across inpatient and outpatient settings. Participate in a sustainable one-in-six weekday/weekend on-call rotation. Provide expert psychiatric consultation to the Emergency Department and Crisis Team. Mentor medical learners and residents through an academic appointment with Queen's University. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of psychologists, nurses, and social workers to deliver recovery-oriented care. PROFESSIONAL PROFILE (COMPETENCIES). Licensure: Must hold an M.D. or equivalent and be eligible for a fully unrestricted license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). Certification: Must be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (Psychiatry) or equivalent (UK CCT or American Board Certification). Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in interdisciplinary collaboration and a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
