BayCare is currently in search of our newest Acute Physical Therapist Assistant (POOL/PRN) who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. Responsibilities Implement physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist. Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and therapeutic activities to improve strength, range of motion, and functional mobility. Monitor and document patient progress, responses to treatment, and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist. Educate patients and families on exercises and techniques for continued care and recovery. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols within the hospital environment. Qualifications Required associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Or PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) Temporary and licensure within 6 months. Required Current state licensure or eligibility as a Physical Therapist Assistant. CPR certification (BLS required). Prior experience in an acute care or hospital setting preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing patient needs and schedules.
