As a Long-Distance Driver, you’ll represent our brand with professionalism, positivity, and safety while operating interstate moving trucks across multiple states. This role requires extended travel, overnight stays, and time away from home while maintaining full compliance with all FMCSA, DOT, local, state, and federal transportation, safety, and labor regulations.

What You’ll Do:

· Travel for extended periods, including multi-day interstate trips, overnight stays, long driving hours, and flexible scheduling based on operational and customer needs.

· Safely operate moving trucks on interstate and long-distance routes in compliance with all FMCSA, DOT, state, local, and federal regulations and safety requirements.

· Complete pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections and reporting.

· Accurately maintain electronic logs, trip documentation, fuel receipts, and required DOT paperwork.

· Follow all Hours of Service (HOS) requirements, FMCSA guidelines, and all applicable state, local, and federal transportation and safety regulations.

· Travel for extended periods, including overnight and multi-day trips as required.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the moving process.

· Educate customers on services, pricing, timelines, and moving expectations to ensure 110% satisfaction.

· Lead and support moving crews during packing, loading, transportation, unloading, and setup.

· Pack, load, secure, and unload customer belongings safely and efficiently, including heavy furniture and fragile items.

· Ensure proper cargo securement and protection of customer belongings during transport.

· Maintain clean, organized, and professional-looking trucks and equipment.

· Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and teammates throughout each move.

· Assist with furniture assembly/disassembly when needed.

· Train and mentor newer team members on safety, customer experience, and daily operations.

· Handle customer questions and concerns with professionalism and care.

· Positively represent the College H.U.N.K.S. brand at all times.

Who We’re Looking For:

· Must be 21+ years old (preferred for interstate driving requirements)

· Ability and willingness to travel extensively, work long shifts, stay overnight, and remain on the road for multiple days at a time as business needs require.

· Valid/Active Driver’s License (CDL preferred but not required based on vehicle type)

· Clean driving record and ability to meet company driver qualifications

· DOT Medical Card completed by a National Registry certified examiner

· Certificate of Driver’s Road Test

· Ability to safely operate small to medium box trucks and long-distance moving vehicles

· Willingness to travel extensively and stay overnight as needed

· Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and extended shifts

· Ability to comply with all FMCSA Hours of Service regulations, DOT requirements, and all applicable local, state, and federal transportation laws and safety standards.

· Willing to submit to pre-employment background check and drug screen

· Physical ability to lift 70+ lbs, climb stairs, and perform physical labor throughout the workday

· Eligible to work in the United States

· Previous moving, warehouse, logistics, transportation, or commercial driving experience is a plus, but not required
