We have immediate openings for Press Brake Operators in the Hayward, CA area.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up press brake machines (tools, dies, and settings)
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Operate the machine to bend metal sheets to exact angles and dimensions
- Perform quality checks using measuring tools (calipers, gauges, rulers)
- Adjust machine settings for precision and efficiency
- Inspect finished parts for defects or inaccuracies
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper functioning
- Follow safety procedures and wear protective equipment
⚙️ Required Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
- Basic math skills (measurements, angles, tolerances)
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Experience with CNC press brake machines (often preferred)
- Knowledge of metal types and bending techniques
- Physical ability to stand, lift materials, and work in a factory environment
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Vocational training or certification in machining/fabrication (preferred)
- On-the-job training is common
- Prior manufacturing or metalworking experience is a plus
