Hospital Driver - Courier

Employment Type Full time Shift 2pm, 4pm or 4:30pm start time, 8 hour shift Job Title Hospital Driver Department Lab Couriers Location Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hours Full time Minimum Rate of Pay $15.00 Responsibilities Drive hospital vehicle on daily scheduled and unscheduled trips to and from out-patient laboratory facilities, physician offices, etc. to pick up and deliver laboratory specimens, reports, and supplies. Complete deliveries thoroughly and efficiently using available specimen handling and other procedures, schedules, checklist, and client specific instructions. Contact Manager if delivery or pickup is not completed. Assign priorities in the event of multiple requests and report any problems to a Manager or Section Leader for timely resolution. Complete pickup and delivery for other hospital departments such as Materials Management (interdepartmental mail), Radiology (films), Cardiology (holter monitor readings) and Urgent Care (cash). May be asked to transport medical waste. Answer client questions and accommodate requests where possible, or refer question or request to Manager, Section Leader, or Client Representative. Minimum Qualifications Valid Michigan Driver’s License. No previous experience is required. Requires basic skills in reading, writing and arithmetic.
