Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (12-Hour Nights) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit at a Level 2 rural hospital averaging approximately 70 deliveries per month
• Float to Postpartum or Mother/Baby within the same department as needed
• Assist with and circulate Cesarean section procedures
• Utilize electronic charting systems including EPIC and OBIX for accurate and timely documentation
• Apply strong assessment and critical thinking skills to monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
• Collaborate effectively with OB/GYN providers, family practice physicians, pediatric hospitalists, and anesthesia staff

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications (must be attached upon submittal)
• Proficiency with EPIC and OBIX charting systems
• Experience circulating Cesarean sections
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills; ability to adapt to change and work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Spinning Babies techniques or similar fetal positioning methodologies
• Background working in a rural or community hospital setting
• Demonstrated passion for maternal and child health
