SUMMARY:

The Marketing Manager provides department leadership in the planning and execution of marketing goals, plans, programs, and budgets to achieve company objectives. This role is responsible for maintaining market presence, managing and coordinating new business pursuits, upholding brand integrity, and supporting client managers and all department’s business development activities. REQUIRED EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE:

 Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.

 Ten years’ experience in a management position in professional services within a deadline driven environment.

 Experience in an architecture, engineering, or professional services industry preferred.

 Experience in the production of marketing materials and graphics.

 Advanced knowledge in developing marketing strategies for local and global markets.

 Proficiency in InDesign required.

 Thorough knowledge of marketing databases and content management.

 Fluency with Deltek management software a plus.

 Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

 Recruits, supervises, trains, mentors, and reviews marketing support staff.

 Participates and updates the Marketing Plan, Communications Plan, Marketing Manual, and Marketing Budget.

 Maintains workflows and process to drive efficiency

 Monitors lead websites, as well as research target markets, target clients, potential projects, and competition.

 Manages the planning and logistics for all interviews and presentations, working closely with the presentation team.

 Attends pre-proposal conferences, professional meetings, or other marketing-related events, as appropriate.

 Writes and manages new project information, staff resumes, and material for marketing purposes.

 Manages awards submittals—tracks schedules and submissions.

 Administrator for Johnston’s CRM System . Responsible for complete and accurate information including contacts, opportunities, projects, employee resumes, and reports.

 Leads and coordinates photography of projects, in progress and completion, as needed.

 Manages Public Relations calendar and supervises social media, speaking engagements, and press release content.

 Manages Johnston’s website content and all updates.

 Seeks out opportunities for speaking engagements and placement of articles for publication and works with in-house subject matter experts to write abstracts, white papers, call for entries and articles.

 Manages internal communication branding and internal employee newsletter content.

 Oversee all marketing-related onboarding tasks including business cards, headshots, Johnston resumes.

 Maintain a commitment to high internal and external client service.

 Works closely with business development, Directors, and project team members.
