A consulting services firm is seeking an AI Lead in New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania to guide an AI-assisted software engineering practice focused on code generation, developer experience, and enterprise governance.
About the Opportunity:- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Remote
- Define and package client-facing AI software engineering advisory offerings, including readiness assessments, productivity benchmarking, and implementation frameworks
- Develop reusable intellectual property such as diagnostic models, ROI tools, security checklists, and governance blueprints
- Advise client leadership on AI adoption roadmaps, tool evaluation, implementation strategy, and enterprise-scale deployment
- Design AI assistant integrations with development environments, repositories, ticketing systems, and identity and access controls
- Establish governance, enablement, and metrics frameworks to support responsible AI use, developer adoption, and measurable productivity improvement
- 8+ years of hands-on software development, system integration, or technical consulting experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with generative AI engineering, modern LLMs, and AI coding assistants
- Experience with context engineering and RAG for software repositories, including AST parsing, vector databases, or code indexing
- Strong background in DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- In-depth understanding of enterprise application architecture, clean code standards, unit testing frameworks, and API design
- Experience presenting to C-suite and senior engineering leadership
- Ability to structure ambiguous client challenges into consulting workstreams and deliverables
- Deep knowledge of software intellectual property laws, open-source licensing, and cybersecurity governance
- Experience implementing software engineering productivity metrics frameworks such as SPACE or DORA
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or AI/ML certifications
- Experience within a technology consulting firm, systems integrator, or professional services organization
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot Enterprise, Amazon Q Developer, Tabnine, Claude Code, or Cursor
- Knowledge of GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Snyk
- Exposure to enterprise SSO, RBAC, Jira, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket integrations
