Summary:

**Certifications Required:**- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)- BLS (Basic Life Support)- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)**Advanced Skills Needed:**- Knowledge of:- Vents (ventilators)- Drips (sedation, vasoactive, etc.)- Care of CVC (Central Venous Catheter) lines**Procedures Performed on Unit:**- Bronchoscopy- Placement of CVC lines- Placement of chest tubes- Sometimes bedside scopes (EGD, Colonoscopy, PEG tube placement, trach placement)**Scheduling Requirements:**- Three 12-hour shifts**Floating Policy:**- May have to float**Patient Ratios:**- 2:1 sometimes 3:1**Documentation System:**- MedHost**Type of Equipment:**- Mindray Datascope
