Unit/Department High Acuity Float Pool
What units are included in the float pool Critical Care Unit, Observation, Med Surg, General Surgery, Ortho Surgery, Short Stay Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Telemetry and Progressive Care
Ratios We have standard AACN CCU staffing. Assignments are 1-2 depending on acuity. You may have 1-3 is the acuity of the assignment is lower and or they have transfer orders
Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) BLS, ACLS. WA or Compact License
Common diagnoses/Types of patients Medical, Surgical, Neuro and cardiac
Experience or 'Must have' skills ICU 2 years, high acuity preferred
Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) Yes, self scheduling
Weekend Requirements 3 weekend shifts per schedule
Holiday Requirements Yes
Scrub Color/Dress Code Royal Blue
