Our company mission is simple: Save coaches and administrators time with everything they do off the field so they have more time to impact young lives on it.Work Type: On SiteWork Location: Currently 1901 Diplomat Drive, Farmers Branch, TX will relocate to South Arlington, TX in October 2026.How You Will Make An ImpactThe TIG/MIG Welder is responsible for setting up and operating welding equipment to specifications, and quality standards. This role requires proficiency in both TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding processes while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.What You Will DoPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Perform TIG and MIG welding on steel, and aluminum components.Set up and adjust welding machines based on material type, thickness, and welding specifications.Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, drill presses, and other hand and power tools.Maintain equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance.Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of welding equipment and compressed gases.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Accurately complete production documentation and quality records.Collaborate with supervisors and team members to resolve production issues.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesProficient in TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) weldingMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAttention to detail and craftsmanshipAbility to communication and work as teamAbility to safely operate welding and fabrication equipmentAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to manage time and problem-solveEducation/ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required.Minimum of 1 years of TIG and MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.Experience welding carbon steel, and aluminum.Physical Demands and/or Work EnvironmentStand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).Lift up to 50 pounds; heavier items with assistance.Wear required PPE including welding helmet, gloves, hearing protection, safety glasses, and protective clothing.Join The Best Team In Sport & SpiritAt Varsity Brands, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed and every educator wants to make a difference.
