Nurse Educator

Position Summary The Nurse Educator enhances professional practice and the provision of quality patient care by providing evidence-based quality educational programs and activities that promote professional competency for nursing, inter-professional, and non-licensed clinical staff at post-acute care facilities. Key Responsibilities Collaborates with the Trumen Chief Medical Officer to create and adjust the program based on evaluation results. Designs and identifies educational activities to address practice gaps for identified target audiences, including licensed and non-licensed healthcare personnel Develops activities to achieve specific outcomes related to identified deficits or opportunities for improvement in knowledge, skill and practice. Plans educational content delivery that encourages learner engagement. Engages in collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to drive professional development initiatives and achieve optimal results. Participates in the delivery of core, entity-wide learning activities, and may collaborate with other practitioners or interdisciplinary team members. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles Serves as a clinical resource utilizing effective communication skills. Travel throughout the Greater Houston area to support clinical staff at post-acute facilities that are serviced by Trumen Physicians and Associates. Acts as an effective change agent QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school of Nursing Registered Nurse (RN) - Texas State Licensure OR LVN with at least 4 years of post-acute experience At least four years of nursing clinical experience Nursing professional development experience is preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
