Performs high-quality care. Assists in the daily routines of the Emergency department. Assists the RN and Physicians in the performance of procedures and care of patients.

STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: Star Lake Hospital

DEPARTMENT: Emergency Department

SCHEDULE: 12hr shifts, Night, Variable

ATTRIBUTES

• REQUIRED: Must be a graduate of an accredited LPN program and have a NYS LPN License.
• Must have BLS certification
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, work independently and lift 1/- 50lbs
• Looking for candidate that embraces customer service and who can work with all facets of Healthcare providers.
• PREFERRED: 1-3 years of experience
• New graduates are invited to apply

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Placing Intravenous lines
• Monitoring patients vitals and recording them
• Assist the RNs and Medical staff with basic medical tasks
• Evaluate the patients wellbeing and reporting any needs to the medical staff
• Moving patients from Wheelchairs, beds and gurney
• Administering medications

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work lifting, pushing and pulling patients; requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $23.00 - $28.00
