Financial Advisor Associate- Manhattan

Job Overview Work Location: New York, New York, United States of America Hours: 40 Pay: $66,560 - $99,320 USD Responsibilities Work with TD Wealth prospects and clients to attract and retain clients by addressing their wealth management advisory needs. Meet with prospects and clients to analyze financial information, including income, cash flow, assets and liabilities, and to understand their short‑ and long‑term financial goals. Educate and advise prospects and clients regarding investment and insurance strategies and products, recommending personalized and tailored solutions to meet their financial and wealth‑creation objectives. Provide ongoing consultation, advice, planning and day‑to‑day account servicing. Build and manage a client base through acquisition of new clients and retention of existing clients. Conduct quarterly and annual objective reviews and meet with clients to evaluate changes in financial status or goals, updating strategies as appropriate. Ensure new clients receive a complete onboarding experience, including a thorough discovery, financial needs analysis, and completion of all requisite documents. Educate and coach Retail Store and Small Business staff to identify referral prospects and facilitate enterprise opportunities. Maintain accurate client engagement records using Salesforce, Money Guide Pro and other authorized software. Deliver periodic ongoing contacts and Annual Client Review (ACR) meetings with an enhanced agenda focused on overall wealth and financial planning needs. Identify portfolio opportunities and refer business to Retail and Small Business/Commercial Partners. Conduct work in compliance with all federal, state, SRO regulations and firm policies, including OCC, SEC, NY Department of Financial Services, and others. Fulfill all continuing education requirements and adhere to TD Bank and TD Wealth policies and procedures. Implement TD’s Customer Identification Program (CIP) and perform mandatory Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence procedures. Collaborate with other departments and contribute to a positive, constructive work environment. Represent TD Wealth in a professional manner and support community and charitable initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. 1+ years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry or completion of the FA Trainee program. Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) and Series 7 required. License to sell insurance (L&H) and Series 66 (or equivalent), or the ability to obtain them within the licensing schedule. Strong ability to self‑direct, plan activities, and achieve sales and referral goals. Comprehensive understanding of wealth products and services. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Ability to travel within assigned market and commute within the territory. Understanding of wealth management business‑development techniques and experience interacting with retail and small‑business banking clients. Consultative sales experience required. Ability to establish relationships and partner effectively with other departments. Compliance & Other Requirements Position is with a FINRA member, subject to FINRA and securities laws. Eligible for employment under FINRA standards and requirements. Satisfactory results in criminal background check, credit report, civil litigation search, and related regulatory agency searches.
