Internal Job Description

RADIUS RULE: 50 MILES FROM FACILITY exp 6/26.

OR RN-Aspirus Ironwood, Ironwood MI.

Contract Length: 13 weeks.

Start Date: ASAP.

Guaranteed Hours per Week: 40 hrs.

Shift Requirements: 4-10hr days.

Variable start times, but normally 0700-1730.

May have earlier start time of 0630, or potentially later of 0800 or 0900 dependent on cases.

Float Requirements: Candidates will be expected to work in pre-op, PACU, endoscopy, and circulate cases.

On Call/Call-Back: 1-2x per week from end of shift to 0700 the next day.

Weekend/Holiday: occasional weekend call – Friday, Saturday and Sun through 0700 on Monday.

No holiday shifts, but holiday call is required.

When on call they will be the nurse managing cases from surgical admission to unit discharge.

Required Certifications: BLS (ARC or AHA), ACLS (AHA or ARC) and MI RN license.

Required Education: ADN or BSN.

Minimum Experience: 2+ years’ experience.

Strong circulating experience.

PACU experience preferred.

Pre/post- op REQUIRED.

Charting/Equipment: NA - facility uses epic charting.

Unit Specific: 3 ORs and 1 endoscopy room.

Required skills: ortho and general cases on call for ortho- Total knee, hip, shoulder, ORIFs, many hip fractures, I&Ds, General- lap appy, lap chole, lap hernia, EGD/ Colonoscopy, Lesion removals, lumpectomy, hemorrhoidectomy, OB/GYN- hysteroscopy, hysterectomy, lap salpingectomy, Eyes- cataract removal, podiatry- bunionectomy,

Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates.

Scrub Colors: provided.

GSA is not applicable during orientation week.
