Position Details Job Code: JC-518900 Position #: 275-210-4546-723 Working Title: Real Assets Accounting Officer Classification: ACCOUNTING OFFICER (SPECIALIST) Salary Range: $5,266.00 – $6,591.00 A # of Positions: 1 Work Location: Sacramento County Telework: Hybrid (up to two days remote, three days onsite) Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Department: Financial Reporting and Accounting Services Division, Real Assets Accounting Job Description and Duties Perform professional accounting tasks for the Real Assets Program, including recording, analyzing, and reconciling Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Forestland investment activities such as contributions, distributions, payables, receivables, income, and both realized and unrealized gains or losses. Execute cash, contribution/distribution, and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring alignment among the Automated Real Estate Investment System (AREIS), custodian bank, and CalPERS PeopleSoft. Calculate and reconcile the FMV and NAV of Real Estate, Forestland, and Infrastructure portfolios monthly using AREIS and custodian bank reports. Analyze transaction activities reported through AREIS and the custodian bank for reasonableness, review trial balances, income statements, and provide supporting reports to validate changes or recommendations. Investigate, research, and resolve any reconciling items that arise. Minimum Qualifications All experience and education related to the Minimum Qualifications (MQs) listed in the Classification Specification must be included in the application package to clearly demonstrate how you meet those MQs.
