Job Summary

Join our dedicated nursing team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical Orthopedics in Lawton, Oklahoma. This role is situated on the 4West unit, focusing on providing comprehensive care to patients recovering from orthopedic procedures and managing various medical-surgical conditions.

You will be responsible for a patient load of approximately 1:5, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the night shift. This position offers an opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic hospital environment, contributing to positive patient outcomes and recovery journeys.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for medical-surgical orthopedic patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions.
• Perform post-operative care, wound care, and pain management for orthopedic patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Respond to patient emergencies and changes in condition, initiating appropriate interventions.
