DESCRIPTION
The Gallery Players, Brooklyn's premier Off-Off Broadway theatre, is seeking a wig designer and a props designer for its upcoming non-equity production of PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT - THE MUSICAL. Book by Stephan Elliott and Alan Scott. Based on the Latent Image/Specific Films Motion Picture distributed by MGM Inc. Director, Ryan Hendricks. Producer, Dominic Cuskern. The show performs September 18th - October 4th. Rehearsals start August 1st and will be in the evening during the week and in the daytime on weekends. Tech will start on Friday, September 11th from 7-11PM. Tech continues on Saturday, September 12th and Sunday, September 13th. These will be our 10 hour days, usually 12-10PM. Mondays will likely be our day off. Dress rehearsals will be on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening prior to our opening on the 18th. The wig designer will need to have the ability and creativity to fashion wigs appropriate to the drag queen style: probably large, flamboyant, unusual. The props designer will also need to be inventive and resourceful. There is a one time stipend of $400.DURATION
