Growing together. As the Endoscopy Assistant I, you will assist nursing staff and physicians with patient care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
As well as clean, disinfect and perform routine maintenance on endoscopic equipment.
133 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA 02215EndoscopyMonday-Friday: Full time, 40 hoursPrimary Responsibilities:Support patient flow in the Endoscopy unit, including escorting and assisting with gowning and mobility post-sedationAid in patient admission, discharge, monitoring in recovery, and IV removal under RN supervisionClean and restock procedure rooms, manage linens, and assist with patient education before and after proceduresSet up procedure rooms per physician preferences and perform rigorous cleaning and maintenance of endoscopic equipmentConduct equipment quality control checks and help orient new Endoscopy Assistants to departmental protocols You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School diploma1+ years of experience in a clinical settingDemonstrated ability to communicate in a professional and appropriate manner.Proven solid interpersonal, customer service, time management, and organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize activities Preferred Qualifications:Associates degree in medical assisting or graduate of certificate programAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialtyCPR certificationAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
