About the Role

This opportunity is ideal for a Production Release Engineer who enjoys coordinating cross-functional teams, managing product launches, and ensuring products are fully prepared for manufacturing.

In this role, you'll manage production release activities from initial launch through the life of the product. You'll work closely with Product Engineering, Design, Quality, Manufacturing, Production, Purchasing, and customers to ensure products meet specifications, manufacturing requirements, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage product and program launches from production release through the product lifecycle
• Coordinate the release of production tooling, equipment, fixtures, and gauges
• Lead and support APQP activities to ensure successful PPAP submissions
• Coordinate with Engineering, Design, Quality, Production, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams to ensure accurate and complete production releases
• Review manufacturing standards, drawings, specifications, and products for compliance with customer requirements
• Define product compliance and acceptable limits through dimensional requirements, performance testing, process studies, and statistical methods
• Coordinate cross-functional team meetings and track open issues through resolution
• Use project management tools to plan, track, and communicate project progress
• Identify and coordinate product improvement opportunities
• Provide engineering support to Production by investigating and resolving manufacturing concerns
• Support Safety Critical, Kaizen, and Zero Defect initiatives
• Respond to customer requests and provide technical support as needed, including occasional travel
• Maintain required project, work order, tooling, and production documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field
• 3+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, program management, production release, or manufacturing
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Experience with production launches, product releases, or manufacturing processes
• Strong computer, organizational, time management, and project coordination skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with APQP and PPAP processes
• Experience coordinating production tooling, fixtures, equipment, and gauges
• Knowledge of manufacturing standards, product specifications, and quality requirements
• Basic understanding of Electrical Engineering principles
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
• Experience supporting continuous improvement, Kaizen, or Zero Defect initiatives
• Customer-facing experience, including supporting technical requests and product requirements
