The primary responsibility is to provide clear communication, technical drive, and team leadership to maintain and mature engineering excellence within the group and be accountable for ensuring employee competence and engagement. This position is responsible for driving technical leadership in the development of EDA processes and methods; has the ability and passion for continuous technology and process improvement.Job Responsibilities/Results:Ambassador for EDA Engineering, considerations, trade-offs, and expectations, working with the entire new product development communityManage EDA staffStaff and develop the EDA team members and continuously improve themDevelop EDA processes and continuously improve themMeasure, track, and continuously improve EDA team performance.Represent EDA Engineering to Other Development Teams within R&D.Create and manage the annual budget for EDA Engineering headcount and spending per according to revenue.Job Requirements:Minimum Education, Certification and Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related fieldMinimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience in a product development environment requiredMinimum 1 year of management or supervisory experience requiredHearing industry or medical device industry experience preferredKnowledge / Technical RequirementsIntermediate to advanced knowledge in electrical design (e.g. electronic components, mixed signal design, SiPi, PCB layout)Intermediate to advanced knowledge of schematic and layout CAD packages (e.g. Siemens Xpedition, Alitum, Cadence Allegro)Intermediate to advanced knowledge of circuit simulation tools (e.g. SPICE, Q3D, HFSS, SIWave, Maxwell)Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of DSP, SoC, and PMIC technologiesIntermediate to advanced working knowledge of analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog circuitsGeneral to intermediate knowledge of acoustics, hearing aid design, hearing aid systemsAdvanced to expert knowledge of product development best practices (e.g. DFM, DOE, DRM, DFMEA, gNPI)Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS OfficeGeneral to intermediate knowledge of project management best practicesGeneral to intermediate proficiency in MS ProjectCompetencies, Skills & AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and precisionStrong time and task management skillsStrong planning, organizing, and coordinating skillsStrong problem solving and decision-making skillsStrong motivational and team-building skillsStrong work ethic and a passion for managing people and processesProven ability to understand and communicate technical information to a variety of disciplinesProven ability to handle multiple complex situations concurrentlySalary and Other Compensation:The target pay rate for this position is between $125,280 - $172,200 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include: geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.This position is eligible for a bonus based upon performance results.
