Head of AI, Automation, Transformation & Strategy

A highly sophisticated, technology-driven investment platform is seeking a senior operational and transformation leader to oversee and modernize its finance and investment operations infrastructure.

This role will lead the evolution of accounting operations, data architecture, workflow automation, and reporting infrastructure within a complex and analytically driven environment. The position offers significant visibility across finance, operations, technology, and executive leadership and is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of accounting, systems, automation, and strategic operational design.

The ideal candidate combines strong accounting or operational infrastructure experience with a forward-thinking mindset around automation, scalability, AI-enabled processes, and organizational transformation.

This position partners closely with senior finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders across operations, technology, risk, legal/compliance, investor reporting, and executive management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic modernization of finance and operational infrastructure across a complex investment platform

• Architect and execute data transformation initiatives focused on scalability, automation, operational efficiency, and reporting integrity

• Partner closely with engineering and technology teams to improve systems architecture, workflow design, and data connectivity

• Evaluate and redesign operational workflows to reduce manual processes and improve scalability across the organization

• Drive long-term operational strategy around automation, intelligent workflow optimization, and emerging technologies

• Oversee core accounting and operational processes across investment products and entities

• Manage relationships with external service providers, administrators, auditors, and other key partners

• Lead operational oversight tied to reporting, controls, audits, and strategic infrastructure initiatives

• Represent the function in cross-functional operational, reporting, and regulatory initiatives

• Lead strategic projects including systems implementations, integrations, operational redesigns, and new business initiatives

• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team culture centered around intellectual curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement

• Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership regarding future-state operating models and organizational scalability

• 15+ years of relevant experience across accounting, finance operations, transformation, or infrastructure-related functions

• Strong leadership capabilities with experience driving organizational and operational change

• Exposure to automation initiatives, workflow optimization, systems implementation, or AI-enabled operational transformation

• Experience partnering cross-functionally with finance, operations, engineering, and technology stakeholders

• Strong understanding of accounting infrastructure, operational controls, and reporting environments

• Experience with enterprise accounting or investment operations systems preferred

• Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities

• Intellectual curiosity and interest in rethinking traditional operational models
