Direct Support Professional II - Awake Overnight Pay: $20.50-$24.50 per awake hour (see below for range details); $17.50 per asleep hour. Starting pay is $20.50/hour. Cape-based programs offer an additional $1/hour differential. Martha’s Vineyard programs offer a $4/hour differential, except the Franklin Street program, which offers $3/hour. Additional $1/hour differential is available for employees with active MAP certification (except at non–Franklin Street programs on Martha’s Vineyard). All asleep hours are paid at a flat rate of $17.50/hour. This role provides direct support or services with a higher level of skill or experience, contributing to our service recipients' care and support while maintaining quality, service excellence and ethical standards. This role may train or supervise direct support employees and works closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans that align with each person's goals and needs. Responsibilities Support Advocates are responsible for the day‑to‑day services to program participants, including bathing, toileting, teeth brushing, household maintenance, meal prep and/or shopping, and supporting individuals in increasing control over their daily lives. They may accompany individuals on appointments and administer medications, following routines such as Behavior Support Plans, personal care, and physical therapy. Support Advocates receive 5‑day new‑employee orientation and training in CPR/First Aid, safety care, defensive driving, and the medication administration program (MAP). They also receive program‑specific training at the work site. Qualifications Required Qualifications 18+ years old. High school diploma, GED, or HiSET required. 1-3 years of related experience preferred. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. CPR/First Aid and MAP certification required (paid training provided if needed).
