Senior Project Engineer — BPGS Construction, LLC

BPGS Construction, LLC ("BPGS") is a full-service construction management subsidiary of BPG. We deliver integrated pre-construction and construction management services for BPG and select third-party clients.

Position Summary

The Senior Project Engineer plays a critical role in field operations and project management across all phases of construction. As a key member of the project team, this role partners closely with project managers and superintendents while mentoring junior staff.

This position serves as a development pathway toward future leadership roles such as Project Manager or Construction Superintendent .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead buy-out strategy and execution for assigned bid packages
  • Prepare scopes of work
  • Facilitate bid processes
  • Evaluate submissions
  • Conduct subcontractor scope review meetings
  • Support final subcontractor selection
• Review design documents for constructability, clarity, and completeness
• Manage RFI workflows for assigned bid packages
• Oversee submittals to ensure design conformance and coordination across trades
• Monitor and manage bid package costs, including change negotiation and budget projections
• Support the daily resolution of field or coordination conflicts
• Serve as a mentor to Project Coordinators and junior engineering staff
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Education

• Bachelor's degree in:
  • Construction Management
  • Architectural Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering — OR — equivalent experience combined with ongoing professional education.

Experience

• 3–5 years experience in construction management, engineering, or a related field (required)
• Previous project management experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with new construction projects preferred
